Your apprenticeship will last four years. During this time, you will learn everything you need to know to become a physics laboratory technician.

After your apprenticeship with us, you have the following post-apprenticeship opportunities: an advanced federal diploma of higher education in electrical engineering or systems engineering or an advanced federal professional examination as a scientific laboratory technician. In addition, you have the possibility to acquire a bachelor of science in electrical engineering, systems engineering or chemistry at a university of applied sciences.

Physics laboratory technician EFZ (FEDERAL VET DIPLOMA)

As a physics laboratory technician at RUAG, you will work closely with engineering staff in the fields of materials science, physics, chemistry and electronics to test the physical and chemical properties of materials. You will carry out a series of tests based on test plans, using modern laboratory equipment and measuring techniques. To ensure the quality of the materials, you will document your results precisely.

In your daily work, you will deal with complex technical systems and work in a modern laboratory environment. The job is very varied, as you are active in different areas and involved in a wide range of tasks.
