For over four decades, the Pilatus PC-7 has been the centerpiece of basic training for military pilots in the Swiss Air Force. With a fleet of 27 of these proven turboprop training aircraft, the Swiss Army relies on reliability and precision to prepare future pilots for the challenges of modern aviation. As the Swiss Air Force's maintenance and integration partner, we are technically responsible for the entire system and are carrying out the current value preservation program for the PC-7 (PC-7 WE) together with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Pilatus.

Environmentally friendly and future-oriented: The new aircraft hangar on the RUAG site in Lodrino was officially opened at a ceremony on September 5, 2024.

RUAG is to further develop its innovative activities with a new focus. In this context, 11 new jobs are to be created at the Lausanne site with a view to intensively promoting solutions and projects in the area of secure and mobile communication. As such, RUAG is strengthening its presence in Western Switzerland. At the same time, the company is planning to dissolve the central innovation organization by the end of 2024, which will result in the cutting of a maximum of 35 jobs.

Vera Stutz completed her training as an EFZ mediamatician with a vocational baccalaureate with an excellent grade of 5.7. She has made an impressive journey during her training with us, which was characterized by her versatility, creativity and commitment. Now all doors are open to her.

We at RUAG will discontinue the "Army Liq Shop" we operate at the end of 2025. We are therefore withdrawing from the sale/disposal of military equipment and vehicles. The reason for this decision is to focus more strongly on our core business.

RUAG has received pre-approval for the final production of four of the new F-35 fighter jets. This secures the offset business that is considered most important for the future of the company.
