Are you proactive and creative? With us you will learn to combine traditional handicraft techniques and modern NC-controlled machines: System and equipment constructors use technical drawings to manufacture various products - from aircraft parts to production plants.

If the maintenance of aircraft structures and complex machine elements fascinates you, then an apprenticeship at RUAG is right for you. Our system and equipment constructors often accompany a product through all stages of its development: from the project planning phase to production and commissioning. In cooperation with other specialists, they process various orders and create technical documents.

Duration

Your apprenticeship will last four years. During this time, you will learn everything you need to know to become a system and equipment constructor.

Skills

For this apprenticeship, you must have manual skills, a practical and technical understanding and good spatial awareness.

Future opportunities

The following options are available to you after completion of your apprenticeship with us: Industrial Foreman HFP, Mechanical Engineering Technician HF Graduate or a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

What we offer you

Part of your training includes the manufacture of aircraft components or parts of production facilities. You will also learn about and apply various joining techniques such as screwing, riveting and welding. You also help with project planning and create technical documentation.

What you should bring with you

You should have an intermediate or advanced level of secondary education and perform well in mathematics. You convince us with your manual skills and enjoy working with different metals. You also have a good practical and technical understanding and good spatial awareness.
