If you are interested in the development, programming and construction of control and automation systems, then an apprenticeship at RUAG is right for you. For example, our automation technicians work with engineers and developers to ensure that an elevator stops at the height of a floor with millimeter precision.

Duration

Your apprenticeship will last four years. During this time, you will learn everything you need to know to become a system and equipment constructor.

Skills

For this apprenticeship, you must have a good performance in mathematics and physics, an understanding of abstract relationships and technology, as well as analytical thinking.

Future opportunities

The following options are available to you after completion of your apprenticeship with us: Manufacturing Technician, Technician HF Telematics or a Bachelor of Science in Microtechnology.

What we offer you

Part of your training includes the construction, programming and assembly of control systems. Other day-to-day tasks include measuring, drilling and wiring. You will also be involved in the assembly of plants.

You have a good understanding not only of technology, but also of abstract relationships.
