The RUAG Innovation Forum
Every year, the Forum is attended by defence and security sector innovation experts. The Forum promotes innovation and technology as a means of improving Switzerland's sovereign security. The recent conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East show that peace cannot be taken for granted. This event aims to help make a positive and lasting impact on our security through innovation.
This forum, which is unique to Switzerland, includes keynotes from opinion leaders and an industrial exhibition of innovation projects and startups. In an inspiring, modern environment, we create a platform for successful, cross-sector networking.

IMPRESSIONS OF THE 2024 FORUM
The 2024 innovation forum welcomed over 190 guests and featured 17 exhibition stands, showcasing startups from the innovation accelerator program, RUAG innovation projects, educational institutions and partner companies.
The highlights included the keynote speeches by Dr. Alex Osterwalder, Major General Stephan Christen and Member of the Swiss National Council Jean-Luc Addor. Among other things, they outlined how innovation can be driven in the defense industry and discussed its significance in a military and political context.
Once again this year, outstanding achievements were honored:
- RUAG Startup Award: Stefan Junker, CEO of YOTASYS AG, convinced the jury with his elevator pitch and was recognized as the most innovative startup of the RUAG Accelerator Program.
- RUAG Student Innovation Award: Dominic Moser from the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons received great applause and was honored with the prize for his outstanding contribution on “tungsten spring manufacturing”. This prize marks the national final of the RUAG Student Innovation Award, which is awarded regionally by universities and universities of applied sciences to students throughout Switzerland.
