Vera Stutz is the best mediamatician in the canton of Lucerne

Vera Stutz completed her training as an EFZ mediamatician with a vocational baccalaureate with an excellent grade of 5.7. She has made an impressive journey during her training with us, which was characterized by her versatility, creativity and commitment. Now all doors are open to her.


hen Vera Stutz went to the Zebi education fair in Central Switzerland in 2017, she didn't know what she wanted to be. hat changed when she learned about the profession of mediamatician there. «The versatility and creative side convinced me and it was immediately clear to me that I wanted to apply for an apprenticeship as a mediamatician», says Vera today. he applications ended up with us at RUAG, and she started her apprenticeship in 2020.

Since then, four years have passed in which Vera has learned a lot at school and with us in the areas of design, IT and marketing communication. Among other things, she has designed and created media contributions of all kinds, including videos, LinkedIn posts, brochures and posters.

At the same time, Vera also completed her vocational baccalaureate in business and services, which she describes in retrospect as the biggest challenge of her apprenticeship: «There were often a lot of projects for the mediamatics apprenticeship going on at once and it was often difficult to study for the vocational baccalaureate at the same time. But I'm glad that I took this path and have now completed my vocational baccalaureate.» She is now looking forward to having more time for her family and friends, as well as her hobbies of video games, photography and crocheting.

During her four years, she has learned that you can make mistakes, but that it is important not to give up and to keep going. She once wrote a grade of 2.0 in a subject and initially thought that she just didn't like it. But she didn't want to give up and tried even harder. As a result, she was able to complete the subject with a grade of 5.5. era says: «That showed me how important it is to get back up and keep going.»

This attitude has made Vera Stutz the best mediamatician in the canton of Lucerne. I She completed her apprenticeship with a grade of 5.7. «t feels a little surreal. I was expecting that it could be enough for an honorary mention, but I wasn't expecting a 5.7,» says Vera. «I'm proud of myself and my performance and very happy about my success.»
 

She advises prospective mediamatics apprentices to be organized and to manage their time well alongside school. «In our apprenticeship, it's not possible to do all the projects the night before, as they often overlap and require more effort than you think,» says Vera.


Vera has made enormous progress in the last four years and has developed personally, says her practical trainer Danja Stadelmann. mi The successful completion of her training has now opened up a promising professional future for her.

Vera will continue to work at RUAG until December. 025 she would like to start studying, preferably at the Zurich University of the Arts in the field of Cast / Audiovisual-media. f that doesn't work out, she has «backup plans», she says.


She will always have fond memories of her time at RUAG. «I am grateful to RUAG for giving me the opportunity to contact someone at any time during my apprenticeship if I had any problems. I knew that my training company had my back and would help me with any problems.»
