Modern fiber composites are no longer only in demand in the aerospace industry, but are increasingly being used in the automotive industry, in mechanical engineering and in the energy sector. Companies are therefore increasingly reliant on skilled workers who can use and develop these materials efficiently. Within the scope of its collaboration with hftm, RUAG contributes its extensive expertise in this discipline in order to provide training participants with practice-oriented and market-relevant further training.
At the heart of the partnership is the new "Fiber Composites in Lightweight Construction" foundation course, which launches in May. This course offers sound theoretical and practical training in the properties, processing methods and repair techniques used when working with fiber composites. The course also offers the opportunity to prepare for the S-license in composites, which is awarded by the Federal Office for Civil Aviation (FOCA).
Expert knowledge at first hand
Thanks to the cooperation with the hftm, participants benefit from top-class expertise from the fields of industry and science. In addition to working closely with experienced industry professionals, students gain valuable insights into current developments, technologies and challenges in modern lightweight construction. RUAG actively contributes its many years of experience in the application and further development of composites in aviation to the training program.
A strong impetus for the industry
With this partnership, RUAG is supporting the development of the next generation of specialists in the field of composites while contributing to strengthening Switzerland as a business location capable of competing within the industrial sector.
