Founded in 2017, helfen helfen Schweiz campaigns for increased visibility for civil protection and the army personnel. helfen helfen Schweiz thus shows, in an approachable and authentic way, what emergency and rescue workers do on a daily basis, and who the people are behind the uniforms. People who have taken it upon themselves to work to safeguard the security of Switzerland. In so doing, the organisation pursues the objective of improving understanding within society with regard to the presence of civil protection and army personnel. One important milestone was its “Rettungsgasse Schweiz” (Emergency Lane Switzerland) campaign. The campaign made a significant contribution to the decision to legally enshrine the formation of an emergency lane, which was passed in 2021.
Behind the scenes
Although helfen helfen Schweiz presents as an organisation, behind this is an association with around 100 members. Of these, 20 to 30 members play an active role and work on a voluntary basis in areas such as media services, the creation of photographic and video material, and finished communication. The members come from each of Switzerland’s language regions. As such, through the support of the members, the team can adapt its communications to suit the different language regions. The majority of members work full-time as emergency and rescue personnel.
"ALWAYSTHERE" campaign
With its current “ALWAYSTHERE” campaign, helfen helfen Schweiz wants to draw attention to the daily presence of the emergency services, who are deployed at all times to ensure the safety of the population. The team therefore hopes to increase acceptance of the various professions in these areas. RUAG is delighted to be supporting helfen helfen Schweiz in its activities, within the context of a sponsorship. Through this partnership we are working together for the security of Switzerland and are looking forward to upcoming projects with eager anticipation.
